25 Aug 2021 - Forge CLI version 2.0.0 and new UI kit components

:tada: ADDED - User and UserGroup in UI kit version 0.15.0

We’ve released the User and UserGroup components in the UI kit. These replace the Avatar and AvatarStack components.

User and UserGroup can also be used in a Text component. In this case, User displays an inline lozenge with a user’s name while UserGroup displays inline lozenges for the names of one or more users.

Run npm install @forge/ui@latest in your resource directory to install the latest version of the UI kit.

:tada: ADDED - CustomFieldContextConfig component in UI kit version 0.15.0

The context configuration function of the Jira custom field type module now returns the CustomFieldContextConfig component. It can be used to render a configured view of the field in a custom field context.

Run npm install @forge/ui@latest in your resource directory to install the latest version of the UI kit.

:warning: NOTICE DEPRECATION - Avatar and AvatarStack UI kit components

The Avatar and AvatarStack components in the UI kit are replaced by the User and UserGroup components.

The APIs of User and UserGroup are identical to those of Avatar and AvatarStack respectively, so you can replace Avatar with User and AvatarStack with UserGroup in your code.

The Avatar and AvatarStack components are supported until 31 August 2021.

:warning: REMOVED - Renamed commands in Forge CLI version 2.0.0

We’ve aligned the CLI commands to use a common naming convention.

This means that these commands have been removed: forge install:list , forge variables:set , forge variables:unset , and forge variables:list

Instead, these commands have been introduced: forge install list , forge variables set , forge variables unset , and forge variables list .

Run npm install -g @forge/cli@latest on the command line to install the latest version of @forge/cli .

:wrench: UPDATED - in Forge CLI version 2.0.0

In this release, the name field in the app manifest is deprecated. If the CLI detects that you are using the name field, it warns you about the field’s deprecation and advises that you can safely remove the field. To modify the name of your app, use the developer console.

Run npm install -g @forge/cli@latest on the command line to install the latest version of @forge/cli .
