This post from a while back has a link to confluence-jira-plugin source that I’m looking for:

The source code for the built in JIRA Issue/Filter macro is available on Bitbucket, see confluence-jira-plugin. Be warned though: At first sight this is a surprisingly complex piece of code, presumably due to including legacy code for its predecessor(s), and for the cross product communication via application links. It might well be possible to isolate and extract just the table stuff of course - if you succeed with this, please let us know, as by chance I’m having this very need myself current…

I see that the repo is private which explains why you do not have access to it.
Anything in particular around macros/confluence/jira that I can help with ?

I am trying to add Jira search and/or create on a page blueprint create wizard. So, for example, page 1 asks some questions via lists/text/etc. On page 2, I would like users to be able to search for an Issue or create a new one as if they are using the jiraissue macro.

I was planning to look at the code to see how it can be done.

Can it be done with javascript?
