We use Atlassian Connect (via ACSB) to develop an app for Confluence Cloud. We have an “addon key” for our production app that’s listed in the marketplace. We have a second “addon key” for a staging copy of our app, which is on the marketplace, but privately, for testing. For local development, we use internal-email-api-developermode-confluence
as our “addon key”. I cannot find where this is documented, but my recollection is that if you ask for email access for a “private app”, this is what Atlassian support tells you to use.
My question: we install this app, it shows up as “Trendmicro Powerbox File Addon for Confluence Cloud” in the Space permissions window:
This is incredibly confusing. Is there any way to change this to “Internal Email API Developer Mode App” or similar? Anything would be better this.
