Attlassina scheduler vs Jira automation rule ? for closing tickets that are in resolved state

Which methodology is best to use?
Set up a jira automation rule or create a plugin that uses attlassian scheduler to schedule the task?
I think jira automation rule is easy and user friendly to set up. But does it create more load on jira?

Posting this question to know about pros and cons for jira version 7.x.
