Hi everyone,
I’m based in Guatemala and I’m considering registering a company here to sell “Paid via Atlassian” apps on the Marketplace. Before completing the company and Marketplace Partner registration, I’d like to understand eligibility:
- Can a company legally registered in Guatemala become an Atlassian Marketplace Partner for Paid via Atlassian apps?
- Can Atlassian pay Marketplace revenue in USD to a bank account in Guatemala that belongs to that company?
- Are there any geographic or banking restrictions specific to Guatemala that a prospective Marketplace Partner should know about?
If anyone from Atlassian or any partner based in Guatemala or Central America can share their experience or point to the relevant documentation, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks!

To address your questions
Eligibility: Yes. A company legally registered in Guatemala can become a Marketplace Partner and sell Paid via Atlassian (PvA) apps
USD Payouts: Yes. Atlassian pays revenue share in USD via international wire (SWIFT) directly to your Guatemalan corporate bank account (in the exact company legal name).
Restrictions: There are no country-specific restrictions or embargoes for Guatemala. We recommend setting up a corporate USD account at a major bank that supports SWIFT to avoid FX conversion fees. You will also complete a standard W-8BEN-E tax form during payment onboarding.
