Conditional display of forge app panel

I’ve been toying around with Forge to show some additional info based on an external fetch() but have just now realized that this thing makes a button show up on every issue in every project in Jira, and that’s not really what I wanted to do.

Is there a way to make it so the button/panel doesn’t show up at all if certain criteria (e.g. “is the project XYZ?”) aren’t met, rather than having that button available to be pushed in places where I don’t really want it displayed at all?

Hey Russell,

At the moment there is no way to hide the button/panel but we are actually have a working prototype! Once that feature is prioritized among the others we’ll finish it and document. Stay tuned!

Thanks,
Vitalii

There is some update about it?

Is there any update on this functionality or some workaround to allow us to hide / disable an addon under specific circumstances. For example, we want to allow an admin to disable the addon for specific projects so that the addon buttons/UI does not appear on every issue.
