# Connect app properties unreachable from Forge version

Hello,

We have just migrated our connect app to Forge, the app.connect.key is correctly set in Manifest.

In the connect version, there were some app properties stored, but we are not able to access them from Forge after the app was migrated.

Any clue on a way to retrieve them?

The app properties API does work, but we had trouble with it. There is an undocumented “bug” that when calling the atlassian-connect API using a forge token you have to add “/wiki” to the path for it to work.

If you are seeing 401 errors this may be the cause. See [https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ECO-1180](https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ECO-1180)

Our crossover code uses something like this for compatibility with both connect and forge:

`const apiPath = `${isForge ? '/wiki' : ''}/rest/atlassian-connect/1/addons/${APP_KEY}/properties/${key}`;`

Hi @Chris_at_DigitalRose ,

In fact, our app is for Jira, not Confluence. Does the ‘wiki’ part have anything to do?

No, our issue was in Confluence. What error or response are you getting from the API in Jira?
