Currently my organization uses service and project management workflows. During our annual budget update the question arose whether we need both products. It is my understanding that project workflows can do whatever service management does but not vis versa. So the question is do we need both products and can we convert one to the other.
There are differences that are not the same between the Jira Software product and the Jira Service Management product. They may be valuable to have both, it’s hard for us to say if you aren’t using the features included.
Service Management features include:
- Team Queue views
- Request SLAs and goals
- Approval workflows
- Asset tracking
- Change tracking
Jira Software features include:
- Development tool integrations
