# CreateIssueModal from UIKIT2

Hello,

We’re trying to open the Create issue modal from a `jira:issuePanel` in UIKIT2 but without success.  
The following error is raised : `No handler found for post message: openIssueCreateModal from....`

Looking at the documentation this seems to be available only for Custom UI apps. Hence we’re wondering how to achieve this in UIKIT2.

This has been fixed by the Atlassian team and released to production. Reference in ECOHELP-40335
