Does Jira Mail Handler do the job?

We have a team internally connecting Jira to Crowdstrike and Splunk. It seems as though some user responses aren’t being recorded within the Jira project. This has caused us to look into JEMHC Mail Handler as a third-party addition/alternative.

Does anyone have any experience with these issues using the native Jira Mail Handler and if so, were you able to resolve or is the third-party route the best option?
