# Download Bitbucket source for dev purposes

Can partners download the Bitbucket source somewhere for development purposes?

Back when Server licenses were available, we used to purchase a 10 user Server license and would then download the source via [my.atlassian.com](http://my.atlassian.com). However, the cheapest Bitbucket license is now $2300/year.

We need to get our hands on the Bitbucket 8 code so we can put out a compatible version…
