there has been some SLA issues reported and for me to troubleshoot, its very difficult to figure out when the user actually transitioned the issue from new to inprogress state.

It has the below line: and says 2days ago but doesnt say which time ?
Status New [ 10114 ] In Progress [ 10307 ]

Can someone help me on this please?

You can actually hover over that relative time mention, the full date and time will be displayed in a tooltip.
You can also use our JMWE app’s Transitions tab that will display time between statuses.
