# \`@forge/bridge/showFlag\` is always in light theme

Steps:

- call `showFlag` with any appearance in dark theme Confluence

Expected:

- Dark theme matching flag

Actual:

- Light theme flag

Note: I have tested on Confluence and Jira and so far this only seems to be an issue on Confluence.

hi, @scottjackson Thanks for reporting this 🙏

I’ve been able to reproduce the issue on my end as well. You’re correct that this only affects Confluence; Jira correctly applies the dark theme to `showFlag`.

After investigating, we’ve identified that the root cause is on the Confluence side — the dark theme context isn’t being properly surfaced to the flag rendering path. We’ve raised this with the relevant Confluence team internally and they’ll be looking into a fix.

I don’t have an ETA to share just yet, but I wanted to let you know this is on our radar and being actively tracked. I’ll update this thread once there’s progress.

Great! A member of our team also noticed that the action buttons are inconsistently-spaced (Confluence aligns with the left end of the text, while Jira has a little bit of margin to its actions)
