Forge data residency on region-specific URL's

Hello Team,

We would like to switch from Connect app to Forge app.
App has to store data remotely with region-specific URL’s.
Example: Data residency only in Europe (Frankfurt)

Hope, Remote Data Residency on Region specific URL, is available to use?
The console/app logs will it be maintained securely for region specific for admins?

Please clarify us.

Regards,
Radhakrishna Pothannagari

Hey @RadhakrishnaPothanna,

Forge supports data residency for Remotes in a similar manner to Connect, where you define the regions which are supported and installations are mapped based upon the product region.

The Connect to Forge migration tool will preserve your existing region definitions when translating your Connect baseUrl into a Forge Remote.

When moving from Connect to Forge, the existing installation will be preserved during the upgrade process.

Hello @SeanBourke

How we can manage forge App logs?
I do not want see sensitive data in console log. is this possible to handle the logs differently for sensitive data?
please clarify.

Radhakrishna Pothannagari

Hi @RadhakrishnaPothanna,

Currently, it is the app developers’ responsibility to ensure that sensitive information is not logged. If sensitive data is logged by mistake, the only option available for customers is to disable log sharing to prevent visibility altogether.

Could you please share the scenario why sensitive data was logged?

Thank you,
Chandana.

Hello @ChandanaMeka

Thanks for the clarification.

We are not sure, console log will it print all data by default?
if it print all data with default behavior, then would like to know how to handle the logs.
