How to extend macro property panel for my plugin in latest version of confluence?

Hi,

I have come across this documentation - https://developer.atlassian.com/server/confluence/extending-the-macro-property-panel/

which is valid for legacy version.

Does it also apply for the latest version or is there a new document available(I couldn’t find one)?

My plugin is based on velocity template.
