How to prevent the creation of history / activity log (in DB) while updating a particular custom field

I have created a custom field in jira. I do not want to create a history/activity log, whenever I update this custom field (via REST API). Is it possible?

Hello Sanatkumarbehera,

have you resolved this? I have been facing similar issue with custom-developed custom field and my resolution was ‘you cannot prevent Jira creating it’ (without ugly hacks).
