Do you have any update on this? We are trying to do the same thing and I have created a ticket yesterday Add Spaces sidebar and breadcrumb to custom confluence page created using web-item, xwork action and Panos pointed me to this one.
We tried using atlaskit library to get the breadcrumb to show up, but having some issues with react version conflicts.
