Integrating My external Web Application with Confluence Server

Hi,
I want to connect my web application to Confluence Server.I need to understand what are the different types of integration and authentication method available and also i want to know can i use Single Sign On feature to login into Confluence server.In case of REST API’s i want to know any methods available for login and logout from Confluence?

supported SSO is only with Crowd. Other than that, is beyond Atlassian support scope. You might need to create your own custom SSO authenticator:
