# Is Canada a supported payout country for Marketplace Partners?

Hi all,

I’m an individual developer based in Montréal, Québec, Canada, planning  
to build a Forge app and list it as paid-via-Atlassian. Before I start I  
wanted to confirm two things I couldn’t find documented anywhere:

1. Is Canada a supported country for Marketplace Partner registration  
and for receiving payouts? I couldn’t find a published list of  
supported payout countries.

2. The approval guidelines require a company email rather than a personal  
domain for paid-via-Atlassian apps. Does a domain I own and operate as  
a sole proprietor satisfy that, or is a registered company required?

If any Canadian partners here are receiving payouts, hearing that it just  
works would answer question 1 completely.

Kay here from the Marketplace team. Thanks for reaching out! Here are direct answers to your questions:

1. **Canada Support & Payouts:** Yes, Canada is fully supported. You can register as a partner and receive monthly Paid-via-Atlassian (PvA) payouts directly to your Canadian bank account in USD (via wire/EFT). You’ll just need to complete standard KYC and a Form W-8BEN during payout setup.

2. **Email & Domain Requirement:** Yes, a custom domain you own as a sole proprietor (e.g., `@yourdomain.com` or `@yourname.dev`) fully satisfies the requirement. A registered/incorporated company is not required individual developers can register under their own name. The rule simply restricts free public webmail addresses (like `@gmail.com`).
