Is it safe to call the Storage API (save/retrieve data) directly from the React Frontend of the Forge Custom UI app?

I have a custom UI forge app in React that uses the Storage APi . Since, I can use the Forge bridge npm module and the forge api module inside the react app to call all the api’s I need, I was curious if I ever need to write/invoke backend Faas function for my app.

Hey Karan

The Forge bridge is invoking backend Faas functions. The react app you’re talking about is in our backend.
In custom UI a module’s resolver is the backend function. It’s safe to call the Storage API in the backend function.

Attempting to invoke storage API from the static frontend javascript won’t work.

Beyond timeout and memory limits I don’t see a need for you to invoke additional backend FaaS functions for your app.
