Is there a way to hide an issue type in the Create Issue dialog?

Hi,

We are trying to only allow the creation of issues of a certain custom issue type to happen programmatically through our app.

Is there a way for our custom issue type not to appear in the Issue Type select box in the Create Issue dialog?

It will be possible thanks to Forge with UI modifications support for Jira issue type field We are gathering interest, it is roadmap candidate for 2023.
