I wanted to provide you with some updates on our analytics integration strategy. We will be offering developers a method to flag their egress permissions directly in the app manifest. Atlassian plans to publish comprehensive guidelines outlining what qualifies as an analytics tool and what does not. This initiative will enable Forge apps to integrate analytics tools, provided that customers give their consent.
Additionally, apps will qualify for the “Runs on Atlassian” program, regardless of whether customers have permitted the egress or not, in the short to medium term.
In the long term, we plan to explore Atlassian Analytics. Once we are confident that it can effectively support partner use cases, we will encourage partners to transition from their current tools to the Atlassian Analytics platform.
