New Developer Documentation

We’ve been working on bringing Trello’s developer documentation to developer.atlassian.com (DAC) and we’re almost there!

Because you’re reading this, you are getting an early preview of the new documentation. The new documentation is live at https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/trello. Go check it out!

By utilizing DAC, we’ve been able to pick up some exciting new features. For example, in the REST API Reference section you’ll see a new button:

You can download the entire REST API specification as a Postman collection or the entire OpenAPI Spec. This enables you to generate SDKs for your language of choice. Moving forward, we’ll continue to improve our OpenAPI Spec so that all routes have clearly defined parameters, responses, and response schemas.

See something wrong? Help us fix problems by clicking on the “:speech_balloon:Give docs feedback” button in the top right:

We’ll get it fixed as soon as possible. In the near future, we’ll make the repository backing the docs public so that you can also open pull requests with fixes.

We’d love your feedback, in general, on the new documentation. Head on over to the Trello developer community and let us know what you think.

Being humans and all, it’s not unlikely that we’ve missed a few things. We will continue to make updates and improvements.

For now, we’ve left developers.trello.com pointing to our existing documentation so that you can do a side-by-side comparison. However, in the next week or two we will begin to redirect high-level routes over to the new documentation.
