Sidebar appears when opening the app in the Apps menu

Hi!
Today we were surprised with appearance of the sidebar when opening the app from the Apps menu.
How can we hide it? (the script to expand to the full width is not an option )

Now they have rolled out something which breaks everything.

The sidebar disappeared, but some sort of line is still visible.
