(parent=xxxxxxxx and created >= yyyy-MM-dd) is not returning all pages.
I can see all the pages in the UI.
It seems to be the most recent pages that are missing.
Sorry if documented somewhere.
Actually it was working fine.
An error in the logic in the code.
