I’ve published this app for approval. but when I install I get this error “Sometning went wrong” But if i install it from forge command it works pretty well. I am not able to understand or debug this - last time i submitted - it took a month to get response saying your app is not reachable. i think same is happening now. but i dont even get any logs.
has anyone faced this issue ?
baloon.dev for Jira | Atlassian Marketplace
Yes, we have the same with one of our apps.
Unbelievable given the Atlassian push to Forge.
Whats the solution ? coz my business relies on it.
Should i go with native solution ?
There is no solution, except Atlassian getting it done.
Hi @AnkurPatankar and @marc , have you raise a help ticket for this? So I can get the right engineering to review your direct issue.
I have also flagged this post with the right Forge team.
Cheers
Ben
Hi @AnkurPatankar - I have looked at your app and the reason request is failing when you attempt installation from Marketplace listing is that the app listing is still under review. Can you please review and complete actions on the ticket, once app listing is approved, you should be able to install the app from Marketplace as well.
H @SapanGupta
I am sorry but where do I find this ? And also this is for which app ? I’ve submitted a 2nd app with missing lifecycle methods. There was no way to withdraw the previous application
Can you please review and complete actions on the ticket
Hey @Benny Thankyou for your response.
But could you guide me to the right place to do this ?
If its ecosystem.atlassian.net , then I’ve created this JIRA Jira
Hi @Benny ,
We opened a ticket, and after a week someone started looking into it. I believe they do what they can, including opening multiple other tickets for engineering. It’s been another week, and it’s still in progress. If a simple app is so complicated for Forge to handle that multiple people within Atlassian are busy, what is happening?
Our customers get emails from Atlassian asking them to upgrade, then the upgrade fails and we get emails from customers why our app is not working.
Hi @AnkurPatankar - you can find your apps if you go to vendor management in marketplace.atlassian.com (under your profile at to right, there should be an option to manage partner profile), and see your apps that are under review, and go to the ticket from there. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to share the review ticket here.
Hi @marc - is the issue with your app related to installation or MP listing? Looking at the above, it seems that the errors are being thrown on upgrades. Can you tag me on your support ticket, I can take a look at what’s going on with your app
Hi @AnkurPatankar - if you click on the link where it says `pending approval`, I believe it should take you to the request where you submitted listing in marketplace. Can you please give that a go
cc @SapanGupta
We can’t tag you. As of today we have no access to our own tickets anymore. Yesterday we still had access.
We can still see the tickets listed on https://ecosystem.atlassian.net , however clicking on one of our own tickets just gives: No Access - You do not have permission to view this request.
For me, I could never see any tickets ![]()
We got access again and have tagged you @SapanGupta
I do not have it still. @SapanGupta
Hey guys, checking if there is any update on this ?
Should we go for native app ? can that help ? If Forge app doesn’t work ?
