Standalone application that will make sync between Jira Server and Jira Cloud

Hello everyone,

Is there a way, or an idea how to develop an application/tool that will be a middleware between Jira Server and Jira Cloud.

Not using a plugin approach but a standalone app that will make some kind of an integration/connection/sync between Jira Server and Jira Cloud.

That’s a well-solved use case in the Marketplace, from well-known vendors like Exalate and k15t. I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “plugin approach” but there are also stand-alone integration platforms (also listed on Marketplace but not sold as “apps”) like OpsHub and Tasktop.
