Seems like it is intended and I understand why, but I need a workaround so I can use them in a customer portal. Any help is appreciated!

Hey @mkmax,
You’re right, it’s not currently possible to use Forge custom fields (or custom field types) in the JSM customer portal.
There’s a Jira Ticket tracking the suggestion to make Custom Fields visible on the Create Request View in JSM which I would recommend you take a look at - if it meets your needs, I’d recommend watching it to receive updates.

I’m always surprised why this wasn’t part of the “MVP” when bringen Custom Fields to Forge as in the last 11 years of JSM this was already a requirement and it’s obvious that this will be a requirement. Is really nobody inside Atlassian bringing up those topics when it comes to what needs to be part of the feature?
