# Usage total higher than all environments

Given that Forge pricing will [soon be based on usage](https://www.atlassian.com/blog/developer/a-preview-of-future-forge-pricing), I started looking at it. And I wondered why my usage rate for one app is where it is.

Compute usage for last month (April):  
All environments: ~69K  
Production: ~3K  
Staging: 0  
Development: ~0.5K

How is the number for all environments so much higher than the sum of the totals for each environment? That is getting rather close to the limit for free apps, but it’s hard to see where I can improve given the totals for environments.

If I look at the site breakdown, the Consumption (%) totals to ~5.5%. Where is the consumption coming from?

Can anyone offer some insight?

Hi Aaron,

Other than the 3 environments, there is a possibility to add 22 custom development environments more to the app. There is very less chance for the custom dev environments to add up to such a high usage but however would like to confirm if you have verified the usages for other environments as well.

Could you share your app-id in DM to me ?

Thanks for reporting the problem. We have fixed the underlying issue. You should be able to see accurate usage from 14th May 2025. Please do let me know if you still see discrepancies.
