Access Jira from Confluence

Hello,
I am trying to access Jira from a confluence app. I’ve read similar post where it states you need to install the same app to both Confluence and Jira.

What’s unclear is the AppID. I am told from one of the Atlassian engineers that the AppID needs to be different for Confluence and Jira. However, when I have two different AppID, and try to access Jira endpoint from Confluence app resolver using asUser or asApp, I get a {“code”:403,“message”:“The app is not installed on this instance”} response. When I use the same AppID, I get 200 response. My understanding is that apps cannot have a same AppID if they are both listed in the market place. Has anyone been able to successfully access Jira via Confluence app, and list both apps? (Note, we would only have one app to be a paid app).

Thanks in advance!
