Adding and removing users to/from groups via REST API via Connect App

Hi there

We would like to add and remove users to and from groups via our Connect App REST calls … I could not find anything specific to that elsewhere so posting this.

I looked at https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v2/api-group-groups/#api-rest-api-2-group-user-post as well as https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v2/api-group-groups/#api-rest-api-2-group-user-delete
But I see “Apps cannot access this REST resource.” :frowning:

That is a little disheartening … Why is that so? There are a few end points with that message. Please advise if there is a workaround OR some kind of update to that that is in the pipeline?

We’d also be highly interested in getting those endpoints available for Connect apps

I have created [CONFCLOUD-71149] Make group admin APIs available to apps - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products. to track this cloud feature gap.
