We will be adding support for OpenSearch 3 to Confluence in the current LTS (10.2). We’ll also be deprecating support for OpenSearch 2 in the current LTS and removing support for OpenSearch 2 in the next Confluence major version (11). This keeps our products aligned with a fully supported OpenSearch version.
What’s expected
If you’re considering switching from Lucene to OpenSearch on Confluence, you might want to hold off until we add support for OpenSearch 3.
Timeline
We expect OpenSearch 3 support to become available in H1 of 2026 in the current Confluence LTS (10.2).
