API tokens without scopes are being deprecated

Hi,

I’ve seen the note saying that API tokens without scopes are being deprecated, and that scoped tokens are now recommended.

“API tokens without scopes are being deprecated.
We encourage creating the more secure API tokens with scopes whenever possible.”

However, I wasn’t able to find any official announcement or timeline about when the old tokens will stop working.

Is there an official deprecation date or schedule for disabling non-scoped API tokens?

Thanks!

Especially in this case, I’d say “deprecated” means “recommended against”. So there isn’t a public plan (that I know of) to make non-scoped tokens not work, but they strongly recommend you don’t use them.

We suddenly lost connection today without any notice. Does anyone has the same problem today ?

We currently have a number of workloads that use API Tokens against Atlassian REST and GraphQL APIs for products which aren’t listed under the “select app” choices for Scoped Tokens.

The current apps which support scoped api tokens is limited to Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira align and Jira.

What would be our migration path?
