Atlaskit Date picker component doesn’t allow text editing in the picker field. When clicking on an arbitrary part of the text, the cursor stays at the beginning of the line.
Please consider the feature request so that it is possible to edit the date text by clicking on an arbitrary part of the text and making changes.

I was able to confirm this issue up to the latest version of the component.
It has been raised in our internal bug tracking system although due to its local impact I am not able to provide an estimate of when it will be fixed.
