@atlaskit/navigation-next strange performance bug on jira server

Environment:

Jira Software Server 8. 6.1

To reproduce:

Import @atlaskit/navigation-next, or the code in attachment (extract from @atlaskit/navigation-next node_modules) on a js page.

Expected result

The js file is downloaded with no notable delay.

Actual result

It takes 10-20 seconds waiting time before it is downloaded by the browser. Jconsole confirms that processing of the requests by the Jira Server takes 19 seconds.



Code that is causing the performance issues

After trial & error, I’ve isolated the part of the code that is causing the performance issue.! :slight_smile:

The sourceMappingURL base64 encodings cause this, for example:
