Building *Advanced* Rovo Agents | Potential Forge Dev Den?

Hi there,

Many of us now have experience developing Rovo agents and actions. While creating a prototype was quick, we encountered challenges - particularly with the prompts.

How about hosting another Dev Den session focused on advanced Rovo development? You could review the latest questions from this group or gather topics in advance. It would be great to work through an extended example, perhaps featuring a more complex prompt or incorporating multiple actions.

Hi @ppasler ,

This sounds like a good idea so I’ll raise this with the person who manages the Dev Den sessions. I think we (Atlassian) also have much to learn about prompt development so this might be an opportunity for developers like yourself to present their learnings. Here is a possible agenda:

  • 15 minutes: An Atlassian presents their insights about defining prompts and actions.
  • 15 minutes: Community developer presents their insights about defining prompts and actions.
  • 30 minutes: Open discussion

I think we could also accommodate a second community developer if they wish to present their observations

To set expectations, the session title could be something like “Advanced Rovo prompt development”.

Also note:

  • We are nearing the Christmas / New Year holiday season and we’ll have to fit this in with other Dev Den sessions that are coming up.
  • AtlasCamp is in Brussels, Belgium in February and would be a good chance to listen to talks relating to Rovo and chat with Atlassians and other developers about prompt development.

Thank you! This suggestion sounds fantastic—it’s a great opportunity to exchange ideas, identify opportunities, and explore future improvements. I hadn’t anticipated this happening before Christmas, but it would be wonderful to have it scheduled before AtlasCamp. Would it be possible to find a slot in January?
