Can I use Forge to create a new item in Sidebar Jira?

Hi,
I would like to know if i can develop a new item in project Jira sidebar on left with Forge (under Backlog for example)?
If yes how ?

I think with connect i can use “jiraProjectPages” module but i would like use Forge not Connect

My goal is to develop a free app to vizualize epic milestones on a calendar. Milestone date get from customs Jira fields like “UAT date”

Did you check the Jira project page Forge module already https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/forge/manifest-reference/modules/jira-project-page/?

It will add an item in the project sidebar, however it will work only for company-managed projects as of today and the item will appear under “APPS”.

Have a look at this screenshot from this page for an example:
