Can I use Jira's REST API on my old subdomain?

I’m considering changing my subdomain.
Suppose you change AAA from https://AAA.atlassian.net/ to BBB.
In this case, can I still use the old subdomain, https://AAA.atlassian.net/?

Welcome to the Atlassian developer community, @111101

There is “work in progress” about renaming sites (sorry, that’s 2 years old but it’s the latest I know about). According to this page:

Does the old site URL redirect to the new one?
Yes it does. We retain a history of all site names used by the customer. Upon accessing an old site URL, the customer will be redirected to the new site URL.

My interpretation is that means a 3xx http status will be emitted from AAA.atlassian.net, which effectively means no. The AAA.atlassian.net site won’t have useful responses. The client would need to follow redirects to BBB.atlassian.net, where the API would actually respond. Or just change the URL.

Thank you for your reply.
And Thank you for letting me know about the site renaming.

The client would need to follow redirects to BBB.atlassian.net , where the API would actually respond.

It seems difficult to deal with this.
As you told me, it seems better to change the URL and respond.
