Confluence 6.6 EAP released and important info about upcoming editor changes

Hi everyone,

We have some news for you regarding Confluence 6.6 and some editor changes we’re making.

Editor upgrade

We’re in the process of upgrading the Confluence editor from TinyMCE 3 to TinyMCE 4, and expect this work to land in a future Confluence version (not Confluence 6.6). While this work is in progress we’ll be doing out best to make the changes in a backwards compatible way, but it is possible that your plugin might experience some issues with the work in progress.

Head to Preparing for Confluence 6.6 for more information on this, including some known issues that we plan to resovle before 6.6.

Confluence 6.6 is on its way

A quick reminder that Confluence 6.6 EAP milestones are available now! EAP releases provide a snapshot of our work-in-progress and give you an opportunity to test and fix your add-ons before the final release.

We’ll be releasing regular milestones and betas during the development of Confluence 6.6, so head to Preparing for Confluence 6.6 to find out what’s changed. We’ll update that page each week with any notable changes.

If you have any problems with an EAP release, please raise an issue to let us know. The earlier we know about problems, the more time we’ll have to fix them before the final release.

Enjoy!
