Download the beta from our site to start testing your app for compatibility with the changes. Be sure to take a look at our Preparing for Confluence 9.2 guide to find out what you need to do to make your app compatible. We’ll update that page regularly, so keep an eye on it to see any changes.
Reminder: for future release updates, make sure you visit the Atlassian changelog), and consider subscribing to the RSS feed.
Given that this is already beta2, do you have any updated information on this new feature:
Gadgets replacement via marketplace app
We’re reintroducing the gadgets functionality in Confluence Data Center as a marketplace app which will be published soon.
I’d like to make sure these new gadgets work better than the original gadgets (that had been removed) with our exporter apps.
Hi @jens, Thanks for your query.
Yes, we’re finalising plans for the Gadgets Beta release (as a marketplace app) and will share details soon. Stay tuned for updates.
regards,
Mandeep
@MandeepSingh, it would be great if those shared details on that update we will stay tuned for is published before this feature ships in Confluence 9.2
@MandeepSingh Could you tell us if this gadgets app release is decoupled from the main Confluence 9.2.0 release?
I’m assuming these gadgets can somehow be used on Confluence pages / blogposts via macros. Please make sure they do something reasonable in export modes (e.g. com.atlassian.renderer.RenderContextOutputType#PDF).
Otherwise we (and you wrt. the built-in exporters) just need to explain to customers again why their exports are missing content.
@jens Yes, the Gadgets App is decoupled from main Confluence release and will be available as a standalone App (initially as Beta). More details to follow.
Hi @Cristian_Oancea,
We will be sharing details along with the Gadget App (Beta) soon. The 3rd party gadgets that worked earlier should continue to work with the App. Thanks.
