Confluence 9.2 release EAP available now

Hi everyone,

A Confluence 9.2 EAP milestone is now available. EAP releases provide a snapshot of our work in progress and give you an opportunity to test and fix your apps before the final release.

As usual, we’ll be releasing weekly milestones and betas during the development of Confluence 9.2, so head to Preparing for Confluence 9.2 to find out what’s changed.

If you have any problems with an EAP release, please raise an issue to let us know. The earlier we know about problems, the more time we’ll have to fix them before the final release.

I am sorry that my first response to a release note is again an issue … I tried to access the Atlassian Maven Repository (as documented on https://developer.atlassian.com/server/framework/atlassian-sdk/working-with-maven/) to check the version of the POMs made available, but I get a HTTP 403 for https://packages.atlassian.com/maven-atlassian-all/.

I also checked the note about using the Atlassian Plugin SDK for the correct setting, but the current version has been released in 2021 and already in use …

What am I doing wrong?

@VasylynaBurger, can you confirm that Confluence 9.2 will be a Long Term Support (LTS) release? This was mentioned 2 months ago on https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Data-Center-discussions/Data-Center-Love-Month-Confluence-Highlights-Demo/td-p/2795245

Notified that there are updates for Confluence versions 9.1, 9.8, 8.5, and 7.19 as of today I am still wondering where we are supposed to get all the (new) artifacts from.

Is Atlassian still providing these artifacts as documented to the developers?

Hi @rr1. I’m not sure what you mean. Are you looking for the artifacts or the documentation? Nothing has changed in our process as far as I’m aware.

Personally, I support @rr1 concerns.

Problems with artifacts and the repository have been reported in many threads on the forum for about 2 months. Perhaps the problem is not visible from the internal Atlassian network, but we as developers/partners are not able to work.

Unfortunately, there are still problems with artifacts in the Maven repository - almost every new version of Confluence (Jira too) has a problem

Recently, we lost access to what versions of artifacts are in the Atlassian repository (browsing directories) - we used to get a full list of versions, but today we get the error

I just would like to add to Adam’s posting to clarify, why I keep referring to the documentation with two examples:

If I read in the Atlassian documentation (https://developer.atlassian.com/server/framework/atlassian-sdk/working-with-maven/) that I need to use a repository with URL https://packages.atlassian.com/maven-atlassian-all/, I would expect that I can use this in my build process. But I am unable to access any artifacts, neither via the browser (what would be a bad idea if you would block that), nor via the Maven build.

When I read that I should use the Atlassian SDK in version 9.x (e.g. Could not find artifact xmlrpc:xmlrpc:jar:2.0+xmlrpc61.1+sbfix), I would like to expect to be able to download it via the link found on https://developer.atlassian.com/server/framework/atlassian-sdk/install-the-atlassian-sdk-on-a-windows-system/#install-the-atlassian-sdk-on-a-windows-system or find a reference on the Atlassian Marketplace (Atlassian Plugin SDK - Windows | Atlassian Marketplace, which is referenced here: https://developer.atlassian.com/server/framework/atlassian-sdk/downloads/). But this links to version 8.2.7. Now I am wondering, if this SDK is only available for some guys or only on some platforms, are we talking of another SDK, or what am I missing …?

Thanks for raising this issue.
I have raised this with our internal Artifactory team.
There was an incident with the artifactory earlier this week that prevented some reads/writes. We are working on fixing and manually promoting the artifacts in the meantime.

Hi there, we have an add-on with a servlet that is doing some stuff and calls methods. I know that i have to add these methods to the allowlist and did this, to get rid of the explicit method warnings, but i have this error as well:
