We have crowd implemented in our project. We were using miniOrange as MFA for users and with the new version of crowd, the process is to decomm miniOrange and use crowd 2sv for MFA. However, we are facing issues while trying to set up the MFA:
Issue:
2025-03-21 12:24:25,155 http-nio-8095-exec-16 ERROR [plugins.authentication.encryption.EncryptionService] Error executing the plain text sealing: Cannot encrypt values as encryption key is not configured
File crowd.properties with were created with crowd.encryption.key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to workaround the issue but didn’t worked.
Crowd Version: 6.2.3
Cluster mode
Java: openjdk 17.0.12
The nodes were upgraded in the same way.
Note: It was upgraded from 5.2.2 → 6.2.3
No more informations are provided beside this log. The information how to implement the tool is still vague and does not provied any helpful troubleshoot steps to fix the issue.
