Dark mode tokens css file out of sync with Jira

Specifically, in https://connect-cdn.atl-paas.net/themes/atlaskit-tokens_dark.css, --ds-surface is set to #1D2125. However, Jira sets an inline style in the html tag of background-color: var(–ds-surface, #1f1f21); color: var(–ds-text, #bfc1c4);

One of my teammates brought to my attention that there’s an npm package, @atlaskit/tokens, that pulls in the appropriate styles, however it has a dependency on react. What to do for those of us who don’t use react?

Hi @JoelMarshall, thanks for raising this - it looks like the tokens weren’t updated on the CDN after the last refresh. The team will get these redeployed shortly.

Timothy

Could it be that the aui-flat-pack is also affected by this? Seeing a bit different background colour being applied in the dark mode as well when using AUI from a connect app

This seems to be the case for Forge as well?

Thanks for raising this! We’re looking into it.

Hi @JoelMarshall this may be a caching issue. It looks like both Jira and Connect use –ds-surface: #1F1F21;. Could you clear your browser cache and check again for me :folded_hands:.

Forge CDN does appear to be outdated still. I’m chatting to the Forge team now to see if something went wrong with our package bump.

It’s corrected now. I don’t think it was a caching issue. Other apps had workarounds in place when I started this thread.
