Different between two Confluence REST API documentation?

What is the difference between the Confluence REST API documented here(1) vs REST API documented here(2). Which one should I follow?

For example in the 1st link, to get groups the URI endpoint is /rest/api/group but for the same resource URI endpoint on the 2nd link is /wiki/rest/api/group. I was under the assumption the root endpoint should always look like example.atlassian.net/wiki. Am I right?

Thanks for the clarification.

Hi @QuaziIrfan ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Developer Community!

The first link you provided looks to be an outdated one. Basing on the contents, it is patterned after Confluence Server format and might be the earlier releases based on the URL. The contents also mentions/refers to Confluence server based on the 1st paragraph:

The REST APIs are for developers who want to integrate Confluence into their application and for administrators who want to script interactions with the Confluence server.

How were you able to land on this link?

Regarding the question as to which you should follow, the 2nd link is the updated one.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your answer.

I googled Confluence Cloud REST API.

Thanks, @QuaziIrfan . I reached out to the team who can help us resolve this.
