We’ve brought our Extension Point Finder for Jira app over to Forge, aiming to assist in app development.
You can now use our Forge Extension Point Finder, released as an experiment under Atlassian Labs, to easily find all locations where you can place your app in Jira and JSM. This can be used as a resource alongside our existing Modules documentation to help you get your app up and running quicker.
How to use the app
To get started, simply install the app on your Jira site and start exploring to discover Forge extensibility. Examples of extension points and modules will display with their corresponding name, for example jira:issuePanel:
We would actually really appreciate if there was also a way to disable all of the web items. In previous versions it was possible to easily uninstall and reinstall. Since typically we only need to find new locations occassionally, but since its so difficult (requires support ticket) now, a toggle on the admin page would be really useful.
Over the last few months its become very difficult to uninstall apps from sites without a support ticket - I assumed it would apply to this app as well - but I guess because its free it is in fact possible to uninstall it via connected apps.
Apps can’t be uninstalled during trials. You can only unsubscribe, not uninstall. Results in endless negative reviews and wasted time for everyone involved. Has been the case for many years and Atlassian doesn’t care to fix it.
Thus if this extension finder app has no off toggle config and can’t be uninstalled then you’re stuck with it permanently on for ~ 30 days. But sounds like free apps can be uninstalled immediately so all good here.

Oh that’s annoying. Thank you for that feedback, a toggle would be useful then - I will add that + Confluence support next.
@JeanYap thank you so much for this app - it’s awesome!
We’d appreciate if it could be made open source, so we can make sure it gets updated and potentially help with PRs when new Forge modules get released in the future.
