Domain verification for LDAP

Hello
I am developing a plugin that may benefit from Atlassian Access usage. I have set up external user synchronization, but it seems to require verified domain. I do not own any verified domains. Can I bypass the domain verification to experiment with LDAP and my plugin?

Hello @Nowak

In essence, no. As per the documentation for Access domain verification:

You want to verify a domain that you don’t own
To protect the privacy and security of Atlassian’s users, it’s not possible to verify domains that you don’t own.

Your LDAP server needs to be hosting user accounts from a domain that can be verified as belonging to you / a company etc using the methods described in the documentation. Without that, you can’t use SAML and then SSO / account management, which would kinda make using Access pointless. Refer to ACCESS-1140.

Consider buying a domain name from an el-cheapo web hosting / domain hosting company for 12 months for the purpose of testing.
