We have been experimenting with integration our Claude Code agents with Jira via the remote MCP to facilitate integrating those agents in to work flow.
We experience inconsistent timeouts causing the Claude Code loose authentication much quick than would be expected. At least it appears as a auth timeout that requires the user to reauthenticate to get the MCP server to work again.
It is short enough that it is frustrating our engineers working to use the MCP server to pull/update/create issues in Jira or generate docs to be added to Confluence.
I really hope an answer can be determined. As I look to a future that leverages AI agents more and more, being able to integrate those with our Jira flow will be critical.
