Forge Connect app installed but none of the declared modules are showing up why?

I’m currently working on a Forge app that uses Forge + Connect hybrid. The installation on my Confluence site works fine:

  • The app is visible in Manage apps → Installed apps.

  • The manifest includes several connectModules such as confluence:generalPages, confluence:spaceToolsTabs, confluence:contentBylineItems, confluence:webItems, etc.

  • However, after installing, none of these modules appear in the Confluence UI (not in the Apps menu, not in space settings, not in page byline, not in editor toolbar).

Hi everyone,

I had this same issue so I’m posting the answer here to help the next person.

In my atlassian-connect.json I had

    "generalPages": [
      {
        "url": "/ecohelp-page.html",
        "name": {
          "value": "ECOHELP Page"
        },
        "key": "ecohelp-page"
      }
    ],

and this converted to

  confluence:generalPages:
    - url: /ecohelp-page.html
      name:
        value: ECOHELP Page
      key: ecohelp-page

The catch here is that with the update to the new nav, you need to have

      location: system.header/left

because I suspect this was the default under Connect, but not Forge.

Hope this helps.

James.
