GitWorkTree methods for writing binary files

The new WorkTree APIs include methods to write text files (GitWorkTree (Bitbucket Server - Git SCM API 8.3.0 API)). However, I can’t find equivalent methods to write binary files, but I feel like I’m missing something.

How can I write binary files using the new WorkTree APIs.

It seems an oversight on our part. I have created BSERV-13420 to track this.
