Help shape the future of Jira APIs & extensibility – new PM looking to meet partners

Hi everyone,

I’m Suyash, the new Product Manager responsible for Jira Cloud APIs and extensibility. I recently joined Atlassian from the Microsoft Teams platform team, where I worked closely with app partners, extensibility, and ecosystem strategy.

Over the next few months, I’m focused on three big areas that directly affect many of you:

  • Core Jira Cloud APIs & extensibility surfaces – where they work well today and where they hold you back

  • Improving the developer and app experience – making it easier to build, operate and evolve apps on Jira Cloud

  • Migration & platform shifts – DC → Cloud and Connect → Forge, and how our API/extensibility story can make that journey smoother for you and your customers

I’d really like to hear directly from partners of all shapes and sizes:

  • Long‑time vendors with large customer bases

  • New or smaller partners trying to get traction

  • Partners whose products have been affected by changes in Jira or the platform

  • Anyone with strong opinions on what Jira APIs/extensibility must look like in the next 12–24 months

How to talk

I’ve set aside time on my calendar specifically to meet with you:

**:right_arrow: Book time with me here: https://calendar.app.google/mCiRFGYQsNgMeud66

We can use the time for things like:

  • Your biggest pain points with Jira Cloud APIs/extensibility today

  • Concrete use cases you can’t implement (or can only hack around)

  • Feedback on migrations (DC → Cloud, Connect → Forge) from an API/app perspective

  • Ideas and “must‑haves” for where Jira extensibility should go next

If you prefer not to book live time, feel free to reply directly in this thread with:

  1. Your app(s) and company name

  2. Top 1–3 API/extensibility challenges you face today

  3. Any “must‑have” capabilities you think we’re missing

I’ll be reading all replies and using them to inform our roadmap and how we prioritize work across Jira APIs and extensibility.

Thanks in advance for your time and candour – I’m looking forward to learning from you and building a healthier ecosystem together.
